• Christianity is only religion based on a person and not on His teachings

The teachings not that much diff. from other belief systems except Jesus is the one true Lord, belief in Him is what saves the soul – (John 3:16, John 14:6, Roman 10:9)

            Other proofs – agreement in Bible, historical proofs etc.

·         John 4

·         Going thru Samaria – hardest rt. –no accident (3 rts. – He took mnts.) could have taken 2 easier rts.

·         John the Baptist in prison in Aenon

·         Samaritans Jews that were conquered and banished to that region and over generations intermarried with local non-Jews (considered half-breeds)

·         Well at Sychar

·         With woman at well Jesus destroys racism – (at time Jews/Samaritans)

·         Fully man - rest & had to eat –  (vs. 6 & 8) that’s why he can relate to us

·         Vs. 9 woman very snotty (defensive because of social position, racism?)

·         Jesus tells her something she does not understand (living water) using her natural situation – almost a personal parable

·         She then starts to perceive that there is something different about Him and calls Him “sir” – possibly the respect He showed her.

·         He then got her attention by showing Himself by as a prophet by telling about her (husbands) past and present

·         He then teaches about true worship

·         He also reveals that Kingdom will also be open to the gentiles
